Next Gen: Security Conference The Hague
De Atlantische Commissie co-organized the Netherlands' first security conference together with the Clingendael Institute and Leiden University Campus The Hague.
Over two days at the Peace Palace and Leiden University Campus The Hague, participants engaged with some of the most pressing challenges facing international security today. Bringing together voices from government, defence, academia, and civil society, the conference featured speakers including Rob Jetten, Joseph Popolo, Kajsa Ollongren, General Onno Eichelsheim, and Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, who reflected on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of security and international cooperation.
Next Gen provided a platform where established voices and young professionals exchanged ideas, challenged assumptions, and explored new approaches to an increasingly complex security environment. Throughout the programme, one message remained clear: the next generation should not merely observe, but play an active role in building a safer and more secure future.
