Public Meeting: International Security, Stakes and Perspectives

On Monday 10 December the Royal Netherlands Society for Military Art and Science (KVBK) and the Netherlands Atlantic Association organize a program themed:


International Security, Stakes and Perspectives:



For more than four years The Netherlands has contributed to MINUSMA, the UN mission in Mali. At the same time the French armed forces conducted Operation Barkhane in five African countries, including Mali. The Dutch participation to the UN mission in Mali will end in 2019.


In the past year, the French Brigadier General Marc Ollier has been the chief of staff of the MINUSMA mission. On December 10th he will address his experiences, the results and the connections with Operation Barkhane. He will discuss tgese issues in a broader context of the region’s strategic importance for Europe’s security.
