Why Europe needs a ‘military Schengen zone’

Karlijns Jans and Rachel Rizzo discuss why they believe that instituting a ‘military Schengen zone’ is in Europe’s and NATO’s best interest. Jans and Rizzo concede that there are some obstacles in achieving this goal, however, the benefits of such a zone would outweigh any potential concerns. With the multitude of threats facing Europe and NATO, military personnel and equipment need to be able to be moved across European borders without too much delay.
