Partners and competitors. NATO and the (Far) East

In the second part of this special section on global NATO-partnerships, Marcel de Haas discusses partners and competitors for NATO in the (far) East. De Haas specifically discusses the two largest competitors in the eastern region, China and Russia. De Haas stresses that  NATO should avoid being dragged into choosing sides between Moscow and Beijing but instead pursue intensive cooperation with both actors.
