One year into the war: A reality check for Germany’s Zeitenwende

According to Sarah Pagung all factors – weapon deliveries, broad sanctions, decreased economic dependence and increased defense spending – would have been unthinkable just a year before. And yet, Germany’s policy since the Zeitenwende has been criticized – including for its reluctant leadership, hesitant approach to weapon deliveries, and the lack of strategy.
