Money talks! The first presidential election under unlimited campaign financing rules

Since January 21st, 2010, the US Supreme Court decided that businesses can contribute without limits to election campaigns. According to Luigi Pinna, this has ‘opened the floodgates’ for corporate political financing.  At the moment of writing (2012), Republicans and Democrats expect to raise almost 2 billion dollars collectively.
