Reflections on a “historic” Vilnius NATO summit
Margarita Šešelgytė (Director of the Institute of International Relations and Political Science at Vilnius University) provides insights in the Vilnius summit from a Lithuanian perspective. The feeling of a unique “historical moment” to make substantial changes in the regional security architecture resulted in high expectations regarding the desired outcomes of the summit. In the end, Lithuania can look back at the Vilnius summit with a “glass half full”-feeling, says Šešelgytė.
