Great expectations or great disappointments?
Reflections on Obama’s foreign policy
In this article from 2016, and part one of the section on Obama’s heritage, Roberta Haar reflects on President Obama’s foreign policy during his two terms in the White House. Haar concludes that Obama managed to achieve some significant successes like the Iran deal and the Paris climate agreement. However, he was not able to realize the sky-high expectations from Europe, failing in his dealings with Moscow, Afghanistan and Iraq.
