Great Expectations: Germany must seize the opportunity to restart German-American relations

For Germany, Joseph Biden’s victory in November has removed the prospect of four more years of “America First” that could have destroyed the transatlantic bond. According to Henning Riecke, Germany is eager to repair the friendship with the US. A transatlantic restart however needs ideas, engagement, and enthusiasm from Germany as well.
