China’s road to power: what does it really want?

In the West, people already have some sort of an idea about the Chinese State’s motives, according to Michael Liu most still lack the requisite knowledge about China to understand what it really is trying to achieve on the world stage. Contrary to what many Westerners might think, the State might not necessarily start with seeking world domination as its ultimate goal. The regime’s fundamental objective is still very inward-looking, i.e. its own survival and the stability of the country.
