Dominique Moïsi has argued that cultures of fear, humiliation and hope change the world. But in what direction? Does the world become more flat (Thomas Friedman)? Or does it take a different course? And who will ‘rule’?
The French political scientist François Heisbourg has written an impressive book on this highly relevant topic: L’Épaisseur du monde (i.e. ‘The Density of the World’). On the occasion of the publication of its Dutch translation – De verdichting van de wereld – Mr. Heisbourg discussed its theme on 16 February with co-speaker Ben Knapen.
The book can be ordered for € 15.- at boektotaal@live.nl.
